Job Purpose
The Head of Information, Communications, and Technology (ICT) is responsible for leading the strategic and operational management of the organization’s IT and communication systems. This role involves developing and implementing the ICT strategy, ensuring the seamless operation of IT infrastructure, driving digital transformation initiatives, and enhancing communication technologies. The Head of ICT plays a critical role in ensuring that technology supports business objectives, improves operational efficiency, and maintains data security.

The Head-ICT shall be responsible for all ICT related projects and task within the NAHCO Group.

Duties & Responsibilities
ICT Strategy Development and Implementation
- Develop and execute the organization’s ICT strategy in alignment with the overall business objectives.
- Identify emerging technologies and trends that can enhance organizational efficiency and competitive advantage.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives, leveraging technology to improve business processes, collaboration, and customer experience.
Leadership and Team Management
- Lead, manage, and mentor the ICT team, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and accountability.
- Define team goals, monitor performance, and ensure professional development opportunities are available.
- Ensure that the ICT team provides high-quality support to internal users and stakeholders across all departments.
IT Infrastructure Management
- Oversee the management and maintenance of the organization’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, databases, and cloud systems.
- Ensure the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of all technology platforms and infrastructure to meet current and future business needs.
- Implement proactive monitoring, performance optimization, and issue resolution to maintain system uptime.
Information Security and Data Governance
- Ensure the organization’s IT systems, data, and communications are secure, compliant with industry standards, and protected from cyber threats.
- Develop and enforce ICT security policies, including data encryption, access controls, and vulnerability management.
- Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and disaster recovery planning.
Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery
- Develop, maintain, and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the resilience of IT and communication systems.
- Ensure that backups, recovery protocols, and contingency plans are in place and regularly reviewed.
Budget and Resource Management
- Manage the ICT department’s budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and within financial limits.
- Evaluate and justify IT investments, ensuring cost-efficiency while meeting the technological needs of the business.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring high levels of service delivery.
ICT Project Management
- Lead and oversee all ICT projects, including the implementation of new systems, software, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Define project scope, objectives, and timelines, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with business goals.
- Ensure project teams adhere to timelines and budget constraints while managing risks and stakeholder expectations.
Communication Technology Management
- Oversee communication systems, including telephony, video conferencing, email, and collaboration tools.
- Ensure the organization’s communication infrastructure supports efficient internal and external communication.
- Continuously assess and improve communication technologies to support remote work and global collaboration.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary point of contact for ICT matters, providing updates to senior management, the board, and other key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business unit leaders to ensure ICT services meet business needs and support operational objectives.
- Provide ICT insights and recommendations to support strategic business decisions.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure the ICT infrastructure and processes comply with local and international regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or industry-specific standards.
- Stay updated on technology regulations and compliance requirements, adjusting ICT strategies accordingly.
Digital Innovation and Transformation
- Drive the organization’s digital transformation journey, exploring automation, AI, machine learning, cloud technologies, and other innovations.
- Identify opportunities for digitization across various business processes, enhancing operational efficiency and improving customer experiences.
Vendor and Partner Management
- Establish and maintain relationships with technology partners, ensuring the organization has access to the latest tools and solutions.
- Negotiate service-level agreements (SLAs) with third-party vendors to ensure optimal service quality and performance.
Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Telecommunications, or related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in ICT management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Relevant certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CISSP, CISM, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of ICT infrastructure, including networking, systems administration, cloud services, and communication technologies.
- Experience in leading digital transformation initiatives, including cloud migration, automation, or big data projects.
- Proven experience with ICT security protocols, cybersecurity best practices, and data governance.
- Strong understanding of IT project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and experience managing large-scale ICT projects.
- Familiarity with budget management and vendor contract negotiations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and drive high-performance teams.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
- A solid understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in IT, especially around data security and privacy.
- Experience with emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, or machine learning is a plus.
