NAHCO, AIR FRANCE-KLM, REACH TICKETING GSA AGREEMENT

The Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (nahco aviance), has announced its appointment by Air France-KLM (AFKL) as its ticketing General Sales Agent (GSA) in Nigeria. The appointment authorises NAHCO, through its subsidiary, NAHCO Travel & Hospitality Limited, to sell tickets on behalf of the carrier. The agreement runs for five years.

Contractually, this marks a significant shift from previous operations and a new chapter in NAHCO’s partnership with Air France-KLM. Previously, NAHCO managed AFKL’s terminal Airport Ticket Offices (ATO), delivered as part of the Standard Ground Handling Agreement (SGHA) between the parties.

The new GSA contract is a distinct and fresh commercial agreement, formally expanding NAHCO’s scope into full City Ticketing Office sales and retail ticket distribution throughout Nigeria.

The agreement reinforces NAHCO Group’s strategic drive to consolidate its aviation industry business, expanding beyond traditional ramp handling, cargo processing, passenger services, and baggage handling into high-value commercial representation and aviation service management.

Speaking on the development, NAHCO’s Group Executive Director, Commercial and Business Development (CBD), Prince Saheed Lasisi, emphasised that the appointment marks a milestone in the longstanding partnership between NAHCO and Air France-KLM. He said, “Moving from handling airport terminal ticketing under the traditional SGHA framework to assuming full commercial ticketing authority across Nigeria demonstrates the immense trust Air France–KLM places in our corporate capabilities and market reach.”

With this partnership, Air France–KLM will strengthen its commercial agility and distribution footprint in West Africa’s biggest market, leveraging NAHCO’s deep and globally – acknowledged market penetration and robust corporate infrastructure to deliver superior service to Nigerian travellers and travel management companies.
